HV30 - Playback is Restricted!

Hi all,

i feel that the HV30 is somehow unpredictable!
okey, i shot some footage in HDV, and now that i try to capture i get the "INCORRECT TAPE SPECIFICATION PLAYBACK IS RESTRICTED"
Here are my playback settings, without the camera plugged to the pc:
dv rec mode: SP
playback std: HDV
tv type: 16:9
output ch: L/R
audio out: ST-1
dv output: HDV/DV

so why is it not displaying my footage?

could anyone shed some light into this annoying problem?

P.S i even tried putting DV for playback, and still it says PLAYBACK SD LOCKED!
like no setting can display it?????

Why don't you download the footage to your computer. I don't know anything but sounds to me you're using a tape that the camera doesn't recognize
 
no software can see the footage from the tape, i tried using HDLink, Premiere etc.
no luck.

The strange thing is that i have seen the footage some time ago, its just now that i can't
 
hm, in my occasion, its got to be sth else, because if i insert another tape it plays normally.
it s such a mind twister!
