F3: "Hulkanizing" with 3ality Body Armor...

Andrew, we can agree to disagree...
i have no problem with shooting off shoulder with my set up and Cinavate UNO handles attached on the front. One thing for sure, my set up is half the size in volume from yours ( looking at the rear of your kit). And that was my main concern. To have it as compact as possible...
Again, if your set up works for you, great! That is the advantage of modular system. Everybody can set it up to his/hers liking or preference. Elelment system is great part to put in the mix. As well as Solid Camera or Wooden camera...

I must say that after the armor kit got on my F3 the camera is much easier to use and configure with add-ons. I only miss the buttons on the original top handle but I can live with that.

I want to install Element Amor kit (top and side plate)
Video Nr 1 ... remove top plate...... does not work. Where can i find it or is there another manual to remove top plate

Thank you - yes have those.
The top plate removal is missing.
Part 1
i emailed Joey & apparently it's MIA.
just wondering if it's a necessary to watch - if there was
written instructions or advice from self install.

Hi,

I did mine conversion in May, so I barley remember doing it now. You do need to see part 1 as it explains the handle removal, and you have to unplug a wire that connects the electronics from the EVF to the camera. I have a second F3 Kit to fit when I eventually buy another camera, so I too would need to see part 1 again. if you find it, let me know. One thing to note, I remember those four screws that hold in the tripod mount being in tight, so you will need some decent screwdrivers for them. what does he mean by MIA?

It shouldn't be to difficult to remove the top assembly even without instructions. There's a bunch of screws to unscrew and one cable to detach for the top bit and one for the side bit. When you've removed the handle screws and playback cover if I remember there were a few more screws to remove. Most import is to use the right tool for each screw. They are tight and you don't want to ruin their heads.

I have few pictures showing how it looks when the top is removed that can help:

Christian, apologies all around. I just finished searching through all of our archives and for reasons I cannot explain, this one is gone. I will take with our engineer who developed the kit and pick his brain to see if we can do a quick write up on it.
