Huge SoCal Wave Grabs

There has been a huge swell in southern California this week, the biggest it has gotten in years, so I got my DVX.

The scale is not that easy to establish because no one was brave (or dumb) enough to paddle out, except for a few pros, the one in the first shot being Taylor Knox. But the waves were varying from around 8-16 foot at the time I was there.

2 and 4 are my favorites. Some really nice grabs. Those are beautiful waves, also. Not sure I'd want to be out there, but great to look at.

nice grabs. killer waves... Where are all the surfers?

Hardly anyone went in....they were the same size today, some kid in Carlsbad today drowned while trying to surf them
