HPX300 vs HMC150/HPX170 in low light?

After many months of borrowing an EX1 and a HMC150 from a friend-of-a-friend, I am ready to finally find a good used camera to buy. One last concern I have is low-light image quality, especially noise. The EX1 has a lot less "darker indoor" noise than the HMC150, but the EX1 also has a lot more "local tv news" videoish sharpening too. I am very curious in how the HPX300 stacks up against the HMC150/HPX170 in lower light conditions with reasonable gain compenstation. Is the HPX300 significantly cleaner than the HMC150/HPX170 in that regard?

In my experience, owning both cameras myself, the HPX300 is much better in low light than the HPX170. Using the AVC Intra Codec.

I have both the HMC150 and the HPX300,and the 150 is not nearly as good in low light. They match pretty well together otherwise

Hey Davideo,

would you says the image is noisier are darker as in it can see alot less then the hpx 300 in low light ?

Thanks

Just shot a wedding in october with both HPX370 and HMC150 and the 300 is much much better than the 150 in low light. The whole day I shot with little to no gain. Typically 0-3db of gain and maybe once used +6, where the 150 would have needed much more.
