HPX170's OIS = more shaky for handheld?

Hi all, I understand that the OIS is designed to help the image stabilize. I am using my HPX170 with a Cinemek G35 adaptor and Nikon lenses. Been shooting 100% handheld stuff, 1080/24PA with a Zacuto shoulder mount rig. My shots seems to appear extra shaky, almost like the whole vision is distorting. I thought it may be because I did not do the handheld well enough, since Im shooting on rough terrains too. But after looking through the footage frame by frame, I realize that there are instances where the motion just blurred out. I wonder whether it is the OIS that's causing the problem.

Can someone more knowledgable on this give me some advice? What exactly is the nature of OIS? and what it does to the image exactly?

what was the shutterspeed ? if you are looking at them frame by frame and there is fuzz , that is exssessive motion blur . if you are shooting handheld and think later you might run through smoothcam. then up your shutter speed ,if not when the frames get alighned straight the pic will still pop in and out blur. but a shaky shot at ahigh shutter will end up smooooooth. with ad apters turn the ois off.

OIS is designed OLNLY to be used handheld with no adapter.
Any other situation OIS should be deactivated

Thanks for all the feedback! I turned off my OIS, and my the stuff coming out of my cam + adaptor is good now. Even if the handheld is shaky, it doesn't make me "drowsy". heh.
