HPX170 fisheye alternatives to Century Optics

I have been filming skateboarding for the last 8 years and have has the VX1 and VX2000 with the Century Mark I & II .3 fisheye "death" lenses and have been using the DVX100b with Century fisheye for the last 3 years. When I get the HPX is there any alternative to the $2500 Mark I/II fisheye lens from Century Optics? On skateperception.com I have heard of some one who took a DVX100b MARK II lens and put the back piece from the HPX 16x9 Century optics .6x Wide Angle lens in the back of the DVX century to fit onto the HPX170 flawlessly.
I know the Opteka fisheye for the HPX170 is a cheaper alternative but i need the extreme wide angle fisheye for skateboard filming. Any input from you guys? Any help is appreciated.

Sells for $480 at B&H

I had the HPX170 and this lens. It's awesome. I just sold my HPX and still have the lens which I'm selling as well. Let me know if you're interested in it.

I shot some of the performance shots in this video with the lens. VIDEO

I have the Century .6 wide angle, need something with a lot of distortion comparable to a Mark II or Mark ! on a DVX.

Its a real shame they don't make a good fish eye for the hvx like a mk1!i really dont think we should have to pay 3 grand!

AMEN!!! That's the biggest drawback for me being a professional filmer in the skateboard industry, but what can you do. The .3x Opteka Ultra fisheye will have to hold me over until the company purchases the Century 16x9 extreme fisheye. The extreme fisheye isn't even as wide as previous Mark I/II models for the Sony VX series, kind of pisses me off.
***I called Century directly in California and talked to the Service manager and he said they have not/will not ever MOD a Century Mark I/II lens from the DVX100 to fit on the HVX/HPX series. He did however say the mod has been done out there on the street using the DVX Mark I/II lens to convert to the HVX/HPX but I can't find any official documentation.

I have a hvx and i have never heard of this been done with a MOD a Century Mark I/II lens from the DVX100 to fit on the HVX/HPX series!

the mark 1 fisheye had a harsh vignette, at the time you might not have noticed because you have been seeing a cropped image due to older tvs. the new lens is pretty damn nice, keep in mind that an hvx200 is shooting larger images and requires a larger piece of glass to retain a similar effect.
i shoot with a redrock m2 and nikon 15mm rectilinear fisheye, definitely not the ideal setup but it does yield unique results and no vignette.
