HPX170 - does it flip both axis?

I haven't found anything conclusive on this. I know the HPX170 LCD can be flipped upside down but for use with DOF adapters but will it also reverse the x axis?

I'm interested to know this also. I think Phillip Bloom did some tests with the JVC 700 cam and it only flipped vertically. So, it made me curious about the 170s flip method.

I found the manual online and it says:

Flipping images vertically and horizontally

"Use this function to flip an image vertically or horizontally to check the aspect ratio or composition on the LCD monitor.
This feature affects only the image in the viewfinder or on the LCD monitor, not the recorded image."

Notice is did not say flip an image vertically AND horizontally, it said OR.
So this leaves me with the same question.

Hey Guys,

I just checked and it is both X and Y axis. You can set the LCD button to reverse, over scan or adjust the back light. When set to reverse, it will flip the LCD just the same as if you would use the magnet hack. It even gets rid of the on-screen data such as the TC read out etc...

I hope this helps.

i dont know what good it is though. i would never use just the onboard monitor for 35mm adapter use.
