$4500 for DVX and all these gears?

I'm trying to sell my DVX gears to move on to HD system, HVX.
The followings are the gears I own with "original price" I paid for.
They are in excellent condition and I've been using for less than a year.
Does $4500 sounds reasonable to you?
That's 25% off of original add-up.
They are NOT in sale yet I just wanted to find out first.
Gosh, I want HVX so bad. Help me guys. Thanks.

DVX100a (120 hrs used) - $3500
Letus 35 Flip Enhanced - $700
Nikon 50mm f1.4 - $350 (modified.. not f1.8, but f1.4)
Merlin Steadicam - $800
3 DVXuser Batteries - $250
Cavision Rod support system - $90

The original price is irrelevant, as people only care what those items would currently cost brand new.

A prospective camera buyer will know that the 100a's successor, the 100b, is only $2600 brand new.

Also, you can buy a new Nikon 50mm 1.8 for $115.

So someone else could buy that entire package for $4555, brand new. Obviously you'll need to offer it at a significant discount from that number.

More like $3500, in my opinion.

Hope that helps.

$2600 for dvx100b? I don't think so. It sounds like you getting them from one of those warehouses in uptown new york. They are cheap because they only sell the camera body and nothing else, and no warranty whatsoever.

And Merlin Steadicam is $800 and it will be that way for a while. I bought it like 3 months ago after using glidecam2000 which is so hard to operate compare to merlin. Merlin is so easy to balance and so easy to setup. Anyway, what I am trying to say is you cannot get Merlin for less than $700 from anywhere.

Also, Letus35FE, even with the half price of what I got it for originally, when you add them up, it's more than $3500.

Anyway, if my gears are worth $3500, I know it's better to keep them. thx for your input anyway.

Brand new from B&H the DVX is $2600

If you look at the marketplace DVX's with under 100 hours are getting $1800-$2000 more than 100 they are getting $1500-$1700

i better go to some other forum or website and try to sell it if i ever decided to. haha, jk. dvxuser forum people are so smart. i hate you all. (smile)

Well if we're splitting hairs, the shops you're referring to are cheap because they have no intention of sending you a camera at all. And I believe they're concentrated in Brooklyn.

Regardless, the $2600 figure is standard from any authorized, reputable seller now that Panasonic has lowered the price.

Ha, we posted at the same time. Yeah, I'm guessing that if you eBay it, you can probably get more than you would by selling it here. Yes, it can be a real bear when the targeted purchasers are actually savvy and in the know. :)
