HPX170 and OnLocation CS4 Problem

Hey all, I've been searching around for a topic that covers OnLocation but nothing was answering my problem. I just installed it and was going to test it today, but when I connect my 170 via firewire OnLocation recognizes it, but doesn't show any output picture, nor will it record. It is just a black screen, It also has my camera labeled as AG-HPX17.

I was wondering if its the Software, or if i just havent setup the camera for external recording properly.

Any help would be very apriciated.

Can you tell us the settings on your camera?

Is it in firewire Host mode, USB device, Firewire Device, ect. Are you trying to do SD, HD, 24p, 24pn, 30p, 60i ect.

I think most external devices will only pickup 24p, not 24pN or pA.

My camera is in 720P/24PN, in 1349Device Mode, i'll try it in 24P though

i dont think onlocation works with the "n" mode

Video does not stream out firewire in any of the pNative modes.

Yeah; it's not an OnLocation problem. The camera simply doesn't give it any signal in pN mode.
