HPX/SG Blade

Nice work DM Rider. The thing that makes me still consider this over the vdslr is No skew , love it thanks for sharing .This just might make me go a for a blade.

I'm sticking with my HPX for now, but it sure is tough to not give into the vdslr's. Thing is, 3 months from now there will be a new, better, cheaper vdslr, so I'll wait until it settles down a bit.

I'll have some better footage after this weekend that I'll post.

nice images Rider. However correct em if i'm wrong but 90% of this video doesnt look as if it needs an adapter. I posted a topic in the adapter section about adapter abuse askig the question does the adapter in your opinion add anything to the footage imagewise apart from shallow DOF. alot of the images in ur vid, while they look really good i must say :)...they are shot wide...so the adapter does what in ur opinion? how would this be different if u shot it naked (stock lens...not u naked lol )

I'm getting a blade for my dvx when i can afford...so i'm curious.

Don't really know how to answer that. I just got the Blade and I was interested how it handled wide lenses so most of my shots were wide. Like I said, this footage was merely to try out a new piece of equipment.

oh didnt know u were more or less specifically testing wide shots. its just that i see alot of footage with people using adapters and i wudnt even know it had they not said so. So i was like why go they all that hassle to not even see what it was put on for in the first place. So i just wanted to know if to ur eyes does the adapter look any different or add somethng to ur footage on the wide end of the lens as opposed to ur stock lens. I duno cuz i dont have an adapter. I got some answers over in my thread...was just getting ur opinion also. one thing i can say is edge to edge is pretty sharp in ur vid.

Hey, wonderful footage!
what are you scene files like when using a 35 adapter?
Do you change them much (if any) when shooting with out the adapter?
I'm using a letus and just curious to see how you set up your 170
Thanks

For this particular footage, I had my v detail and detail set to +3, but I normally have them set at 0. Cine d, -20 master ped, everything else at 0.
