HPX in stock at B&H-$5,899.95-yippee!

Nothing against B&H, because I spend a fair amount of change there, but there are authorized sellers selling it for less as well.

A B&H may match pricing in any case

david-

good point.

and thanks for adding to the conversation.

sadly, a vendor like abel cine-who offer great support to their wonderful products-are even listing the hpx250 at a higher price than b&h's!

once folks start getting the camera in their hands we will know a lot more about what $6k will buy.

(frankly, i can't wait!)

jarek-

it appears that specialized communication is indeed a panasonic authorized dealer and the price is as you reported, $5275.

new york city retailers, abel cine and b&h, are you listening?

I've gotten all my cams from them since the DVX days. It's the first place I would go for a camera.

Get another $100 off with certified check too!

Jarek, how is their customer service? For instance, B&H has a return policy...something like 15 days, I think. And can you purchase a similar protection plan (SageMax) that B&H offers?
Thanks for the tips.

So did Abel Cinetech.

dino-

that is very good news for me.

though i am supportive of the sponsors of this site, i am a very big fan of abel cine because they are local (nyc) and they have wonderful customer service.

they are more than "just" an electronics store.

Then it should make you happy to know that not only is Abel a whole lot more than an electronics store, they are also one of our sponsors!

I ordered one from Specialized Communications today, they have the camera in stock and are an authorized reseller and service center. Same prices as B&H but shipping isn't included, that added less than $25.
