HPX-170 Registration question . . .

The other day I went on-line to register my HPX-170. Followed the instructions but got to a point that I could not get past and received the following message: "The equipment designated as "Under inquiry" is being inquired of it's delivery history. Completion will be informed via e-mail."

Scary stuff!

I bought mine from an authorized dealer (same one as my last HVX-200). Came with the new book (thanks Barry), and card. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this . . . or if Jan can comment (I'd like to know that my registration will proceed and that I will have the 5 year warranty).

Best.

Yeah, I got the same thing. Nothing to worry about.

Should just say something like "Verifying Information." but yeah when I first saw that I thought maybe I didn't type something in right. But then I got the email saying Welcome and all that jazz.

Me too. You can tell that the entire registration process is handled through the Panasonic Japan website, awkwardly translated to English. The whole processs is a bit vague and clunky but if you received the, ******* Registration Notice ************************************************
Thank you very much for choosing Panasonic products.

We are pleased to inform you that your registration for
P2 Asset Support System (PASS) has been completed.

I haven't received anything as of yet but won't worry about it (for a while anyhow).
Thanks for that information.

Still not a peep (from anyone).

I guess I will have to call my authorized dealer and have them find out what's going on . . . can't afford to sit back and wait any longer--don't want to learn that I lose my extra 4 years for not jumping on it.

Yes, I would. You want to make sure that you are getting that warranty. 5 years is almost unheard of in our industry.
