HP Touchpad

I understand that. The reason I bring that up is because you said (in different words) that there was no point purchasing a device that wasn't supported anymore. My point is that, if you install a different OS on the hardware, with something that is supported, it is a great purchase.

Oh I see... you mean more like a 'hack'? I thought you meant Google would buy HP's tablet and use their OS system. All that stuff is way over my head. The HP tablet is probably worth more in parts than what they are selling it for, so it does appear to be a hardware deal. If someone could find ways to utilize the low cost hardware for bigger purposes, that would be neat.

From what I can tell, it seems fairly simple process to install Android on the Touchpad... and there are developers working on making it stable.

I'm finishing an app for it right now, its just a black screen that says "I bought a discontinued tablet and all I got was this lousy app"

It'll be on the market for $2.99 tonight :D

Please. For $99 this thing is a complete steal. Anyone who doesn't know what it's capable of just doesn't get it.
It's not like it will just shut off and stop working because of lack of HP support.

My daughter will use it for music, movies, games, etc...
My wife will use it for email, cooking recipes, internet surfing, etc...
All for $99!

And this is coming from a guy who owns an iPad.
I'm tired of my wife and daughter always stealing it.

The one weekend I am totally offline and this happens! haha... still hoping to snag one from HP.com though.

Makes complete sense MAH.
