Some people have complained about not being able to turn off the internal mic on channel 3 & 4 on the C300 Mark II. I found a work around, which is simply plugging a 1/8" mic (such as a Rode Videomic Pro) into the 1/8" mic port, which goes to channels 3 and 4, and then turn the mic off. Tracks 3 & 4 then get no signal, and thus are muted.
You can also use a mic in that port for better on-camera audio if XLR 1 & 2 are being used for wireless mics, say. Useful for reality TV/doc work where you want those two XLR ports for wireless but still want decent on-camera audio.
That's all.
