how to shoot without the crop bars????

I'll be shooting a commercial tomorrow and i would like to shoot without the black bars on top and at the bottom....how do i turn that off on a 7D?

I'm guessing i didn't ask the question correctly......i would like to shoot with aspect ratio 3:4 assuming by that i'll not get the black bars at the top and the bottom of my video??????i went to the operations from the menu and put aspect ratio 3:4 but im still getting the black bars...what am i missing?

I'v just realised how dum this question is...when i shoot in HD and watch on a monitor that is'nt full HD is when i get the black bars......

So i guess the question is...is it ok when you convert your HD commercial to SD and you get the black bars?Commercials are usually 3:4 right?

Commercials are almost without exception 16:9

Most local broadcast stations like 16:9 with a 4:3 safe crop in the middle. ML has actual cropmarks for this exact purpose.

(but ML won't work on a 7D)
