How to shoot 2fps

I know what time lapse is, I just wasn't sure when you would use Interval recording vs changing the frame rate. It sounds like they accomplish the same thing, but less than 2fps would be the cut-off where you would use interval over fps.
sorry, didn't mean to talk down, but your question implied ...

anyway, the choice (INTERVAL or Frame Rate) is based on what you want to accomplish, iow, how long is the actual event, and how long a clip do you want to show.

for example, a flower opening that takes four hours, and you want to show it in 10 seconds, means you need 300 (10 x 30) frames. So ,you would take one frame every 48 secs, requiring INTERVAL mode.

What I do wrong?

You're not giving enough information for anyone to be helpful without making a lot of assumptions. This thread started with how to shoot at 2fps. What exactly are you questioning?

There may be nothing wrong with your scene file depending on what you want. Did you modify one of the preset scene files, and if so, what did you change? What type of look or recording were you expecting and what did you get that makes you think there is a problem? Are you still wanting to do interval recording and can't?

Answer some or all of the above and you will probably get more people to respond.

What did I do wrong?

I saw your scene file the first time you posted it, but that doesn't tell me what issue your having. Does it load properly? The only thing that looks odd about it to me is that your mode of operation is VIDEO CAM but your other parameters and scene name imply that you want a film style look. Reread my previous post and see if you can answer some of those questions, otherwise I don't know how to help you.

I thought I imported it properly, I went to my SD card, load card.

What could I possible do wrong, why shouldn't I use video mode? the post where it said how to do it was in video mode, I shoot more a less in film mode....99% of the time.

I went back and re-read all the posts in this thread. If I read between the lines on all of your comments, I can only assume you are still trying to do interval recording, although you didn't say that when I asked you. If that is the case, yes you do use VIDEO CAM mode. I am not an expert using that mode of the camera, but it is outlined in the panasonic manual and JRMILLER and others gave you some input and a link to the 2fps hack. Go back and read those posts and try again. If this is not what your after, then I have no idea what you're trying to do. Good luck.

I will try it once more the way the post told me to do it, with that being said, how do you do it if you do not use video mode, assuming you use film mode, whas the differnce beween the two.
