any help with advice on how to send film clips and short films would be gratefully received do i need a web site i only use pinnacle 10.5.

1. where do you want to send it to?
2. what kind of format is the movie?
3. how large is the file?

well films one to five minutes hdv if possible to sites like this and others possibly.the fllms are only on the pc software[pinnacle]i would like them to play in widows media player,i am not sure what size it will come out as when it is made into media player file but expect to be big 50-100 meg ,thanks flinty
 
If you want to post your films online for others to view I would recommend you compress them. You can do this by exporting the films from Pinacle (though I don't know exactly how since I don't use that program). take a look in the "software" section of this page for more info on compression.

Sharing large files like that requires a lot of space. I believe DVXUser provides up to 100mb of space but it sounds like you want more. in that case the best sollution is to get a website of your own to upload to.

but before you do, have a look around on this site, maybe post a couple of questions in the Cafe and do some more research.

Definitely try blip.tv. Completely free... and they don't transcode your files which means what you upload is what people see. They are very big in the videoblogging community.
