So for some reason my CFast card decided it didn't want to be recognized anymore. I couldn't get mac to recognize it or windows. So I used terminal to use the -sudo fsck_exfat -d/dev Command to try and repair and it didn't work, so i did a fast quick format to fix it. Then used easeUS data recovery to get all the files back which they are all there however they are not playing. The MXF files from another recovery program are all 4.2mb when in fact they should be 100+ GB.

Even the program that gets the files in the correct size won't play. What should I Do?

I have used disk drill, easeUS. Wondershare I tried and it showed correct size but I am not going to purchase another program unless I know for sure it will work.

Was recently in a similar predicament with very precious footage - interview subject speaking about the murder of a loved one. My very experienced director suggested a simple, effective fix. You may have already tried, but here it is.

Put card in camera.
Switch camera to 'Media'.
Play through files if they appear.
Done.

Wishing you well finding a fix.

I tried that and it said Media not recognize, initialize the card. So then I formatted the car gently and now tried to recover all the files. Is it worth taking all the recovered files putting them back on the card and then putting the card in the camera?

Drag that it didn't work.

Haven't tried the action you suggest, so I can't really say.

Will ask a data ninja friend I'll see later tonight. If anything comes up, I'll pass it on.

GrauOnline allows you to attempt to recover your files for free, if it works they watermark it.
You only have to purchase if it works.

I'll second the aeroquartet guys, I had a card that was corrupted too and they managed to pull some clips off the card for me.

I was using a Lexar 3500x 128GB. Approved card.
