How to match XH A1 and HV20/30

Anybody out there who is using a HV20/30 along with a XH A1 and managed to match the footage (especially colour balance and sharpness) that comes from them? If yes, is there a preset for the A1 available that comes close?
I bought a HV30 last week as a second Cam next to my A1 because I thought they would match for 90% and that last 10% I can manage in post. But I did a A/B comparison yesterday and they don't match at all. The HV30 is much sharper and has much better colour balance than the A1. And I tried to correct that in post but neither the HV30 footage nor the A1 footage can be corrected enough to let them match. At least not by me in Vegas. Can anybody help me with that?

Yes I typed that right. My HV30 is sharper then my XHA1. But ... I tested that with a few presets which all have sharpness set to +1 or less.
And maybe the footage only looks sharper because of the much more vivid colours?

you can increase the sharpness on the xha1 by setting the hdf to "low" and increasing the dhv setting, to around 4. the image will look perceptibly sharper on a larger monitor, but it does take something away from the nice, organic feel of the original settings ("middle" and 0, respectively) IMHO.

that said, perfectly matching hv20/hv30 and xha1 isn't simple as the base color signatures of the two cameras seem to be very different. i've used color match and cc tools in premiere to get the colors reasonably close, but it's definitely not spot on, not yet anyway.

According to camcorderinfo the cine color mode on the hv30 and 20 is supposed to match default preset #8 on the A1, compare them and take a look.

Between reading your answers and all that is written already on other fora I have been playing with different settings in the HV30 and I think I'm very close. Using my own preset in the A1 and tweaking the HV30 I managed to match real close. Not yet perfect but very close.

While surfing DVXuser (yeah, I don't have much of a life other than shooting), I came across this thread from over a year ago.
For the record, my hv30 is also perceptibly sharper than my xha1. Having said that (as Henry Cho noted above), the xha1's image is much more organic and (dare I say it) film-like.
When I use then on the same shoot, they never completely match, even after tweaking.
