Is it possible to make VCR stop the default setting so that when I turn on the camcorder, it won't wind up the tape and go into record pause mode until I press the record button (or the toggle VCR stop assigned key)?
I believe so... It is under one of the custom keys... When the camera is qued up the tape heads are paused.. I think you can set one of the custom keys to 'stop' the tape heads from engaging...

That doesn't prevent the camera from entering record pause mode when it is turned on. It only allows me to put it in record stop mode *after* it enters record pause mode.
I would like the camera to not enter record pause mode at all when I turn it on with a tape in the drive.
