How to make fake intestines for your MonsterFest film

Pretty good.

You can also use old nylon stockings too. Fill 'em with edible, yet gross looking stuff.

Not quite as good as the sausage casing, but still effective.
 
For my last film we used real ones. Most serious Asian markets (like Ranch 99) in California carry these in abundance.
(I found out about this from watching behind the scenes Hostel DVD)

WE had a prosthetic gut that was ripped open in my film, attached to the actor, and then decorated
the top of the thing with the real stuff for authenticity.

Notes:
- They are pig guts
- They are cheap
- Keep them on ice until you're ready to use them
- They smell bad, so clean up good after using them
- Keep them away from the craft services table and keep your hands
washed :)
- We actually boiled each strand for about a minute, which
gave it a bit more rubbery look like human guts look.
- They are bacteria filled when raw, only have the actors you do
not like eat them in your zombie films, j/k

It's guerilla at its best!
