1. Tear off a two inch long piece of white gaff tape.
2. With a Sharpie, write "RED" on the tape.
3. Affix tape to your camera.
This will impress any ad agency type. Back in the day, doing the same but writing "FILM CAMERA" would have the same effect, allowing the agency type guy/ gal to proclaim "we shoot on film".
I bet you have to work out at the gym just to lift that thing!
My equipment Red ..................

It's like they wanted to remove every physical advantage a dslr has over typical video cameras.
Can you ever imagine talent (real talent), taking an interview seriously with the bloke in the last photo doing the camera work?
At times, small size is a HUGE advantage (anti-pun intended)That's probably because from an ergonomic standpoint, DSLR's don't have any advantages over video cameras. Their only claim to superiority is image quality/cost.
Show confidence in yourself, your abilities, and your equipment decisions without need to impress others with pointless fluff.
That's impressive.
This thread reminded me of this commercial
Hehe, don't worry, anything that works and is effective and efficient for you or any of us is good. The true humor of the video is how much overkill it is for filming the barbecue, but that rig would be at home shooting a narrative/commercial video.I'm rather alarmed at the fact one of my rigs is genuinely similar to that. :cheesy:
you can generally tell who these nimrods are well before you get to the set. (or choose to accept the gig)I would fire a client who gave me a lot of grief over something as silly as what my camera looked like.
