How to know it worked??

So, this is going to sound amateurish but whatever lol. How do you know the hack is working? How do you find out the bitrate of your clips? I followed the steps to hack my GH1, everything went alright, but I'm not sure if my clips are much better then usual or maybe I just think that because they are suppose to....How can I know for sure my camera is "beefed up"?? =p thanks
 
lots of folks download a little program called MediaInfo...i don't have a link handy, but it's pretty good at providing you bitrate/framerate info, and things of the like....sorry....there's a thread about it here, just too tired to search.
 
Check FW version number. If Version compare Selected, it will be 0.0

Take two clips, one with patch and one with original FW reloaded (with version compare checked) involving some high details and/or motion and compare the bitrate

I use MediaInfo or my PS3 to check the bit rate. Mediainfo is apparently not accurate on PC, but is Ok on Mac. Or you could use something like StreamEye. You can also check the average bitrate by dividing the file size with duration in seconds.
