how to grade vlog-l to rec709?

We come closer to the Blue - Cyan Issue :)
So the scene setting is visibly correct while the log setting is not?
Or are you trying to match them?

Is this the clapperboard you use (the 'white' stroke on this image is slightly blue so I assume the white balance is off on this image):

Yes the Scenefile looks natural and what you see is what you get.

The clapboards color are not calibrated in any way. But White seems White.
Its about the 10th test i made. And even with a 100% correct WB the color isnt shown correct.

I orderd a 2nd DVX200 at my dealer. So i can check if this is a single case.

I tried to match the single colors in PR. withe the secondary color correction. But if there is an gradient you will get massive problems with masking the color.

One of the things I discovered doing testing on the GH5 is that Premiere Pro 2017 does not interpret luma and chroma correctly using full range (by comparison Resolve 14 beta 2 works fine both for managed colors and ACES and also for auto levels or specifically setting them).

Now Panasonic log format is by definition full range so I wonder if it could be related to the problem you have.

Here is a SMPTE bar full range coming from the GH5:

Obviously the levels are wrong (it is full range after all) but look at the shape of the bars in the two waveform graphs, there is no decent cross, the bars are squeezed outwards towards the extremes. This is very hard to correct in Premiere.

Here is the SMPTE bar but now limited range from the GH5:

Correct levels (obviously) but notice the graphs look correct and there is a decent cross.

The DVX200 log file uses a yuvj420p pixel format which apparently is (miss)interpreted by Premiere as Rec.601.
All credit goes to Nick Shaw who pointed this out to me.

I converted the pixel format of your v-log file from yuvj420p to yuv420p, take a look at the converted file see if this one matches better:

Yes i see the problem with Premiere Pro.
but the color is still wrong with the converted file :(

I think you are right that the Gamut is missinterpreted.
I tried to use the LUT Calculator to try out other Gamut.
https://cameramanben.github.io/LUTCalc/LUTCalc/index.html

The best result i found was:
Rec Gamma: Panasonic V-Log
Rec Gamut: Arri Alexa Wide Gamut
Out Gamma: VLog_to_V709_forV35_ver100 (From the Panasonic Website)
Out Gamut: Rec709

The colors are close to the Scenefile but the ciolors are "Spread out" on the Vectorscope
Look here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jfd0ywoeautpyoz/AACl2n120_WLP4t0-j2cBSsZa?dl=0

Do you know which Gamut the DVX200 use in the V-Log L Mode? It doesnt look like the Camera is useing the V-Gamut

Otherwise...why are the colors correct in this video? Blue stays Blue and dont become Cyan. :badputer:
