I have the FD adapter, but I don't want to drop 400 bucks on a semi-fish lens--is there an adapter that can fit on the stock lens or an FD lens to give me some distortion and go really wide?
You can find the Canon FD 15mm fisheye on eBay pretty often, you may get lucky on the price - I have definitely seen it sell for less than $300. There is a 7.5mm fisheye as well that would be really interesting because it's got a 180 degree FOV and a 22mm image circle...so on a 35mm camera you get a circular image on the negative, but 22mm is just enough to cover the full GH1 sensor, so while I have no idea how well that would work for video, it would certainly be interesting, I'm pretty curious myself.
I have tried adding an adapter to stock lens, a x0.7 Canon WD-58, didn't work well, got some vignetting, had to zoom to loose it, so pointless and made the camera very nose heavy. I now have an FD 17mm with the 0.7 on, this works, some distortion, but really only a little wider than stock lens at roughly 12mm.
I know you can buy the Lumix 7 - 14mm, but it's expensive. I am hoping to try a 7.5 mm FD if I can find one at right price.
