I have a Sennheiser 8060, wish to pair that with my C100 for run n gun situations

but the 8060 is too thin for that hole

anyone have any recommandations of what to use to fill that gap ? I mean, securely ?

if Im using kitchen towels, is that gonna be a problem for the sound quality ?

i've always had this issue with any camera with typical shotguns, never quite understood it....

i've wrapped my shotguns in case foam and then wrapped that in gaff or electrical tape. seems to have done the trick all these years

Yea I've just used household rubber bands...a handful of them...works on my C300...sounds sketchy but it works and holds things in place, makes sure there's give without any space for it to knock hard, etc.

Wrap a ring of electrical tape to fit. I've also routed the XLR cable through the mount in the slot at the bottom...that did the trick perfectly for my NTG-2.

An inch of Gaffer Tape wrapped three or four times around the mic at the spot where it will be put through the hole. We have a shotgun mic on C300 which is too narrow and the method works like a treat.
