How to edit music video ?

Hi Hi,
I'm newbie in video editing.
Recently, I and my partner used one DVX-100B and one Sony HDV camcorder to shoot high school choir performance. These two camcorders captured video from different angles during the performance.
Now my question is how to mix/synth video clips to output a complete music video like what we've seen on MTV ?

In Adobe premier element 4, I kept one sound track and inserted video clips but hard to keep them (especially those Sony video clips) synth with the sound track.
Do I need professional video ediitng software to get it done ?

If this is a long story to tell, please link me to the learning source. I understand that it may be an time code issue but don't know the details at all.

My next music ensemble shooting will be in early March and I hope I can solve my problem by that time.

Manu thanks.

You might get a better answer in the Adobe Premiere forum here at DVXUser, since this is really an editing question.

But to address the DVX side of this, whenever you shoot anything with two cameras and no time code sync (not synth) between then, you need to have a sync point that can be used to line the two shots up in post. The cheapest clapper you have would be in two parts, attached to the ends of your arms. Or you can buy a clapper board and use that. once you have hit your sync mark, neither camera should stop recording since that will render the sync point useless.

Thank you C2V for your advice.
I'm open to all software, online material and technique, not limited to Adobe.
