Hey I'm trying to do some time lapse photography on my canon T2i
I have a interval remote the JJC TM series
I just cant seem to figure it out?
Ive gone through the instruction manual plenty of times, and it doesn't work?
I wonder if there is a setting on the camera I'm supposed to use?
Has any one done time lapse on the T2i ?
please let me know how to do it? I cant seem to find anything on the web?
thanks

Hey man,
Have you figured out how to do timelapse on the T2i? Does this remote work? I'm trying to find a way.
Thanks!!!

yep. get a cheap remote and then simply take a series of photos...make sure AF is off. Lock down ISO and white balance and then choose the interval you want which depends on how much patience you have or time you have, if there is going to be light change during the timelapse then i select AV mode

I shot a time lapse yesterday with the EOS utility, super easy. And to OP, don't know that remote so don't think I can help.

I use a remote over the EOS untility because i dont want to have to lug my huge old laptop around and find power for it (battery only lasts 20 min)

Any fear of wearing out the shutter mechanism (or anything else) by taking so many pictures over time? I've seen some Canons rated around 100,000 or so, and doing timelapses this way could reach that point in weeks or a month with regular usage.

Or am I just being paranoid?

Obviously doing time lapse work with your camera does put a whole lot of wear on your shutter but thats why i bought the camera, to snap that shutter and take pretty pictures. If i wear out the shutter then i may just have to upgrade to the 7d.

I think you are just being paranoid. I would not worry about that.

I picked up a cheap intervalmeter off of eBay and it works fine. My issue is powering the camera for as long as I want to shoot the timelapse for. I have run out of battery power before I was done. Should I get a battery grip, or us and AC adaptor?
