Hi
I've tried several times to test the autofocus on my Tamron 17-50, but each time my results are inconclusive, other than telling me that I do need some amount of micoradjustment and that focusing manually is always more accurate. Also, I noticed that if I autofocus a 2nd time, but from the opposite direction(switch to manual and rack out of focus but in opposite direction), the results are mostly different. Why??
My basic method is to adjust my lens to longest focal length, aperture wide open and use mirror lockup with a tripod to avoid any camera shake.
I'm using Single Point autofocus and I've turned Focus search (Custom Function III-4)off.
Has anyone used one of these methods?
