How should I take this LOL

It has just come to my attention from a business partner and close friend that another (former) business partner and closer friend (and some one I took as a brother), that his significant other, in a myspace blog, called me "an obese sausage fingered egotistical jackass with a camera running around tryna be the next spielberg"

Now I have a really good sense of humor and think it's about the coolest and funniest thing I've ever seen on myspace and I am honered that I can inspire an insult of that magnitude. But then I start thinking, she doesn't really know me, at all, everything she knows of me comes through my ex-partner who I consider a brother, someone that I was closer friends with than anyone else in my life, ever, even my wife.

Ordinarily I would own that description proudly but here's the thing, it was addressed in an "anonymous" blog post to my wife in which my wife was also called names including "backwoods *****." My wife is the kindest most harmless and well intentioned person I know, I mean, she has to be to put up with a sausage fingered egotistical jackass, which I comepletely admit to being and own up to.

So... how should I take this and what should I do? It was funny at first but it's turned into quit the quandary, especially since I don't think my wife has seen it yet.

Take the high road...you know who you are...who your wife is. Just let it be & turn the other cheek. The chick who wrote those things obviously has a ton of problems of her own and is deeply damaged. Don't give it another thought.

High road - let em keep talking they are making you famous.

I wish people would include me and Spielberg in the same sentence :)

yeah homey, just make your movies. My friends talked sh1t about me when I first started saying I wasn't going to make it and I would be back driving tow trucks again.

Be flattered they care enough to write about you. That means you've affected their lives so much they feel the need to document it on the internet. It's the people that don't get anything written about them that should be worried.......

Kevin Smith has a good bit about this in threevening, all smith fans should check it out.

Be flattered, you never know that may end up saving you one day...probably not, but it could. Someone might be thinking about Spielberg and then your name comes up and they say, " Fu*k Spielberg, why would I want that Indiana Jones raping mofo doing my flick? Call up Sausage fingers and his backwoods wife".
So in that situation it would rule.

But seriously guy, it's a myspace comment. If everyone freaked out when they got shi* talked on the internet...man oh man. At least you are getting shi* talked on the internet hahah

Thnx for everyones input. I truely appreciate everyones positive energy.
It was just such a weird thing that popped up out of nowhere. And it was a blog and not a comment so someone really wanted take a hard jab at me. I mean yes I'm a jackass! And yes I am clinically obese, but hey this is America so are about a hundred million other people so I don't care. And wanna be Spielberg, that's cool, atleast it's not Michael Bay. BUT SAUSAGE FINGERS!!!???? I'll have you know I have very nice hands for a fat guy thank you very much!
Once again thnx guys.

Is the problem here the possibility that her comments may hurt your wife or is the whole thing just offensive to you?

I think that just letting it slide is the right choice.

As everyone is saying, take the high road, but Id def talk to your friend.

Be as mature as possible and don't get defensive or angry, I imagine if you approach him right, he will feel sorry himself for the comments she made, any perhaps will talk to her about it.
