How power hungry will RED One be?

dunno - no released info on that count (and do they know for sure, considering they haven't put their first units together based on what they've told us?).

I'd certainly like to know.

It certainly makes deciding on what type of battery kit to assemble a bit more difficult, especially if you want to avoid the "wholy crap this camera just ate my battery in 10 minutes!" scenario like can happen on an F900/3 with a run-of-the-mill v-lock :)
 
And for those of you unsure of the implications, for one: very good batteries are NOT cheap.

For instance check out the Sony GL95 - US$549.95 each at B&H.

Though really you'll probably want good batteries anyway, and GL95's are very nice.
