Iam 47. Married 28yrs. Have 3 grown kids, 18,20,22. Work for Large Company in ATL. Worked in there Corp Video dept for 18yrs. Freelanced for 5 yrs. Shot Industrials,Music Videos, 1 Feature(Steadicam) and now tinker with it with older son "Bigstein" who is trying to reach Rush to buy more gear.

Been saving for a dvx, need about $200.
After that it will be a fisheye

Currently planning a short with my friend(who wants an HDR-FX1 but I will convince him to be a DVX lover 8) ), which hopefully will be entered into the Memphis Film Festival.

Do property management (painting, fixing, slaving) for peanuts.

Got a DVX in October, which is around the time I found this site (which saved me from embarking on a grey market nightmare).

Am interested in pretty much every aspect of filmmaking, and hope to one day work in either music or film.

I'm 25 and a software engineer in jax florida. I work for a company that does automation software for broadcast companies, news stations and the like.

I get lots of neat goodies from them and thanks to generous contributions from them in the past I have a decent mini studio set up. (I'm trying to hornswaggle my way into a tripod this week :D )

I just got my dvx because I wanna do short films although in the "one" day I've been back to work since getting it, I have two people asking me to shoot stuff for them, so who knows ;)

every three pages i'm gonna remind everyone how cool this thread is. i read them all and keep imagining in my head a quiet military-ish drumbeat as each person steps up to the mike, looks right at the camera and accounts for their days and ways. neat.

32 years old,
Have lived a few different lives, doing a few different things: painting, sculpture, installation art, graphic design, video, etc.

Worked as an art director in NYC for a number of years, then moved to Chicago for God knows what reason. For the past three years I've been freelancing doing graphic design, scenic design, motion graphics, video editing, DVD authoring, you name it.

A few months back I purchased some video equipment and started working on a documentary, and I've been slowly getting together with writers and actors to work on narrative projects.

31 i was working for a tv station editing for news and sports since 1995 until i got laid off in jan. now i bum around trying to drum up biz shooting weddings in the dfw area i also attend grad school.

Daytime: J2EE developer at a Big Blue company. My wife is a dancer/dance teacher (modern/classical ballet) so we tape that kind of stuff. DVX user since may of 04
