Hey guys. I mostly just lurk this forum but now I have a question. I've got a DVX100B that's been through some pretty rough times. Now that I have a new camera, I don't feel I have a need for the old broken one so I'd like to get rid of it. But first, I'd like to see how much it could be worth.
The problems include:
- Broken plastic screw holder on the lens assembly (it's between the zoom ring and the focus ring) which allows everything in front of the zoom ring to fall off if turned 35˚ or so
- Somewhat messed up threads on the filter ring
- Super duper tiny chip on the outer lens (about a centimetre from the outside edge of the lens, the chip is only a couple of millimetres in size. I have yet to see it in footage)
- Won't zoom out past Z10 (zoom ring fell off and when I put it back on, I must have done so incorrectly. probably an easy fix)
- Focus ring does not work (ribbon cable is broken)
Besides those problems, the quality is great. Autofocus still works so I've been using the camera for static shots, using my working cam's manual focus to find the right MF# then matching the broken cam's AF# to that and then switching to MF. Oh and the hour meter reads 94H.
Thanks!
