How many stops of latitude does the 5d get with cinestyle?

Ive looked around and found what it gets without it, 8.6 i believe. But with the profile, whats it get now?

I believe that 8.6 figure is for RAW photos.

The video is about 4-5. Cinestyle has the same range. Just the levels are mapped so there is no pure blacks and it's more squeezed which means less compression banding in the shadows.

4-5 stops of latitude? You must define latitude in a completely different way than me, because that is not even close to the dynamic range of video from this camera.

Sorry, everyone's using a different measurement for Latitude.

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos5dmarkii/page25.asp says 8.4 for JPG, you could squeeze 10.3 with the default Raw conversion software or 11.1 with Adobe.

However dxoMark, at the Tonal Range:
http://dxomark.com/index.php/Camera-Sensor/All-tested-sensors/Canon/EOS-5D-Mark-II it's about 9ish or 11ish on the Dynamic Range bit

The 4-5 on my previous post is wrong, my bad - it was an understated flippant comment. However I will say that my iPhone actually gives brilliant video ;)

so cinestyle really did help out in terms of expanding the dynamic range from 8.6 to 11.2 in video mode. crazy.

No, that test was done without the cinestyle profile. So 11.2 stops without. That's slightly misleading though, as they say in the zacuto video of the test. Can you really count the exposure readings when all you're getting is noise? So it's there, just not necessarily usable--and certainly not to the extent of these cameras that shoot 4:4:4. Cinestyle may bump that up slightly to the total 11.9 the sensor gets, but being linear, it makes the information at the extremes much more useful.
