How many d7000 users? Stand up and be counted!!

Damon,

I really like the sound in "Alone." How did you record it may I ask?

Thanks Much!

Thanks for watching! Audio was done with minimal gear. We used an AKG CK93 to record the dialogue. I did the post work in Soundtrack Pro and also composed the original music track in GarageBand. Damon

I got one after owning a D90, and would've stayed with Nikon, but jumped to canon when the hotpixels got in the way - Glad that is fixed now. I really like the image from the d7k. Personally, Nikon replicates what I see better than Canon. When I want to conserve card space, 720p 24p is nice, although 720p 60p is perhaps a more valued feature, so plus one for the other manufacturers.

No more gear hopping for me for a while. The differences between all 'dslr'-esque the cameras is so marginal, imho. The main thing that bothers me with all of them is the codec and bit rate.

Hi, I replaced my D90 with the D7000, and I'm happy with the tests.
Waiting to have some real work done with it.

Picked mine up a couple of weeks ago. Quite a bit to wrap my mind around but I love it. Great pictures and the video is so much nicer than my HDV camera.

Just ordered my 2nd d7000 for my wife.

Just ordered my 2nd d7000 for my wife.

After having the D7000 for a few months I have sold my d40 and d90 and ordered another D7000 body. Guess that says it all. I am very pleased with the camera. Happy shooting! :)

My wife got one for stills, but I have been eyeing it for video for when my HMC-150 isnt available...like when we go to europe in may. I haven't really played with it yet, but I would love to have some tips and pointers for when i do.

D7000 Amazing

D7000 Amazing

Just got mine last weekend. I traded in my D70 kit for the D7000 kit. So far I'm blown away. There is so much to learn but the responsiveness, speed and quality of output both photos and video (I bought it for both) have me gobsmacked. At the price point or even a few hundred above, nothing compares.

D7000 here! To ride along with our HPX170s, etc. Running with an 18-200 3.5-5.6 VR and a 50 1.8d. If it keeps looking this beautiful, I'm going to need some more lenses and another body!
