How long to get rebate battery/card?

It doesn't work as others have pointed out...

It does work....You just have to read. At the top of the page just under the Panasonic Graphic you will see the status of the rebate. In the middle of the page, you can see the date the information was entered by the rebate company.

The area at the bottom of the page that reads it is searching for you is useless unless there is a problem with your rebate, so ignore it.

Like I said before, there is not much information, butr enough to know that they have received the form.

Actually, it never worked for me...tried several times since this thread was started and it never worked...
My stuff still arrived though....

yeah... I'm in the "page doesn't work" category too. I sent in my rebate materials before March, and still nothing - no information, no battery and card. However, having participated in Panasonic rebates in the past, I expect that it will take just this side of forever - like usual.

Why in the hell does it take so long? It would make sense if:

1) Panny receives rebate form in mail.
2) Panny immediately ships goods.

8-14 weeks? Pretty ridiculous, seriously.

After finding the website that doesn't work for me, I contacted them via the e-mail address on the page. I sent in my rebate in late February. Here is the e-mail I received today:

"Your rebate submission was received on March 6th and is in process. No additional information is needed. Please allow at lease eight weeks for processing. If you have additional questions or concerns please contact customer service @ 1-866-339-4296."

So there you have it. Postal service to the rebate center takes about a week. Someone eventually will open the mail you sent. Then in a reasonable 2 months, you may get something.
Hey -at "lease" it's a freebie, so I'll just try to focus on that.

Works for me, and evidently others have had success. There are OTHERS who have had success with the link.

They received mine March 10th. In fulfillment for me. I'm just glad to know it'll eventually get there. Hope I receive it by the end of the month, as otherwise I'll have to buy one. :(

Quick question.....

....is the "UPC code/serial number label" considered to be the white sticker on the box? I thought I heard someone say that the box itself had to be cut, but I don't see any labels printed on the box, just the sticker. I want to make sure I'm doing this right.

Thanks!

If anybody wants to sell their free battery and SD card, please PM me. I'd be interested in purchasing 1 (or two depending on how much).

I had heard that Amazon.com wasn't an authorized reseller so purchases made thru them might not qualify for the rebate. However, I just checked my rebate status and it appears that it's in the system and for "Retailer" it says "All Others". Phew! I was worried I was going to get hozed since I bought from Amazon, but it now appears all is well in the universe.

Yep.. my status comes up now on the Panny site..

Current Status: Fulfillment
Check to be mailed within 8-14 weeks of received date.

Yikes! 2 to 3.5 months!

I just got mine today! From the date they got it, it took almost exactly a month. So it may not be 2+ months for you after all.

And yeah, this battery is WAY bigger. From the looks of the battery compartment on the HMC, it seems like this is the battery it should really come with.

Mine came today, also. Funny thing is that according to the tracking info from UPS (after the fact - I entered the info just to see) it was shipped out the day after I e-mailed the fulfillment center to see what was up. So, from when they say, they received my forms on March 6th and I received the battery and 8 gig card w/awesome case thingy on April 10th. I guess not so bad after all - especially after the "Scotty" treatment when they said 8 to 14 weeks.
