I just received my new battery the vw-vbg6 5800 Mah which reads 5400 Mah.
ordered it last month and it took an extra week to get here.
The camera tells me with the lcd open it last about 265 minutes .
It was fully charged for about 5 hours.

When I purchased my camera back in november last year I ordered an extra big battery as well it lasts about 217 minutes with the lcd viewfinder open. I remember charging it for more than 7 hours the first time.

So how long is it suppose to last or did I just get lucky....

Seems about right. I covered an event yesterday and had the camera on for hours at a time. My display said around the 230 mark I think

Also greatly depends if you are in playback mode or recording mode...

We are getting 250ish out of an IDX and the big panny. That translated into a 6-7 hour wedding (on a good amount of the time).
