How Do You Power your Lilliput Monitor?

I've purchased an 8" and would like to power it with Canon or Sony batteries. Can this be done?

NB: I purchased the model with the Lilliput battery but it's way too big even if it could mount to the back of the monitor, which I don't think it can.

I use the Lilliput battery but use strong rubber band to hold it onto the pan bar of my tripod. On the rare occasions that I go hand-held the battery goes in either jacket or trouser pocket.

Im pretty sure Ikan makes a battery adapter for canon or sony batteries. But I have had decent luck with the batteries that ship with the lilliput monitors. I have to say I just bought their new 8 series, 7" monitor with super bright LCD. And it blows away the Ikan version. I thought the Ikans were flimsy and cheaply built for the price. I have had two Ikans, both broke in less than a year. So we'll see what the lilliputs are capable of. The newer models with component and hdmi, are very nice. Though the one thing I did like with the Ikan was it had component through. Lilliput does not have the extra B&C JACKS.

I use the Lilliput battery and attach it to the back of the monitor.

The battery has a screw that fits into a groove on the back of the monitor. The only problem is it slips right out again. Solution: Put a metal washer (1/2" I think) around the screw and bam! instant mounting. Just slide the battery into the monitor groove and turn a couple times until secure.

On the forum from 5D cinema under "Monitors", Gary P is selling various LP-E6 battery plates for these Lilliput monitors. I bought one, its great. Plus, he's coming out with new plates this month.

You can check it out here or here at his website. Responds quickly. Highly recommended.

I have 2 of these : http://cgi.ebay.com/DC-12V-3800mAh-...787?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb35d1deb

I have used them for 4 hrs each non interrupted and they worked great I'm sure they could probably run a bit longer but at 4 hrs I just changed out one for the other and charged the other as i used one of them.
but im glad to know I have at least 8 hrs between the two batts.
I just velcro'd them to the back of monitor and are fairly light weight.

BTW I use a Lilliput 8"

Getting ready to purchase a Lilliput 7" wow i didn't realized powering it would be this cheap... These batteries last longer then using Lithiums from cameras?
