GH5 How do you manage quick shifting from movie settings to photo settings?

Hi,

Been reading about GH5 and watching some youtube videos about setup, but seems some people find certain settings switches a bit cumbersome, such as VFM vs non VFM shooting.

So just curious if anyone has optimized their workflow to account for these sorts of switches among settings. The types of settings I most often need to switch are

1. VFM to/from non VFM
2. Video with v log to/from photo with some other capture setting

Thanks!

You can set custom profiles on the dial; C1, C2, C3 (1-3). For me, I set C1 as my "master" profile. These are the settings I use the most. C2 is a variant, while C3 I reserve for VFR. Then if I need to take a quick photo I just dial the mode back to Manual Photo mode real quick. Only takes 3 seconds or so when swapping between modes on the dial.

Thanks. I guess the only drawback is that this approach doesn't help if you have to switch among capture modes that depend on the system frequency. Then again, maybe it is fine to keep camera at 24fps system freq, and make do with what that offers, since I plan on just making videos for online.

The Custom Profiles record all the settings , frame rate, data rate, picture settings, even button and screen assignments.
