Here is what i worked out.

So i just snapped this picture really quickly but its a simple enough set up
Its the RJ Follow focus

a Manfrotto long sled
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E4VDLG
Jag35 rail block
http://jag35.com/products/rodclamps/railblock.html
And then a couple of little 15mm rods about 3 inches each.
I drilled a hole just in front of the index pin which doesnt get used for my camera. I then tapped it with a 1/4 20.
I did the exact same thing to my standard Manfrotto sled and it works wonderfully for a little run and gun set up.
My problem now is that i need to add a matte box and i worry about it being too much weight on the rods since they only have one point of contact. That and its really easy to screw them down crooked because its only the one screw point.
Do you guys have any shots of your rig using a bettery grip and a follow focus that doesnt allow for vertical rise on it?
