How do you adjust colors in the HPX?

I've been looking for some info on this, and I remember one of the old Canon vs Panasonic threads had the "color adjustment" features in the Canon HDVs as one of the major advantages. Apparently you can adjust Red Green and Blue parameters separately as well as other image parameters (including skin tone) on the Canons. Is there anything like that on the HPX/HVX ? The manual doesn't really tell you what the Gamma or Chroma actually do (no visual examples are given), just knowing that Cine-like D gives me a more cinematic image isn't enough for me, I want to know whether I can "color correct" in camera.
In one of my trial DVCPRO HD shots, I set up all the parameters correctly, in a well illuminated scene, and eventhough the results were cinematic, I wasn't satisfied with the color rendition in a blue pattern on a vase (it looked innaccurate). Adjusting color temperature and other parameters didn't seem to help. Surely there has to be a way to do proper "color adjustments" in this pro-level camera?

We don't get Barry's book in this PAL region of the world. I plan to order it in about 3 weeks, but with international shipping times it would be at least 5 weeks till I actually have access to the book.
