D DM_rider Veteran Sep 2, 2009 #2 Shoot 1080i24pa. When you go to ingest the footage, you'll end up with 1080p clips.
David Jimerson Administrator Staff member Sep 3, 2009 #3 The menus are confusing -- but the modes which are called "1080i/24p," "1080i/24pA" and 1080i/30p" are all 1080p modes. They are recorded in a 1080i stream, but you can retrieve the original 1080p frames in post.

David Saraceno Moderator Staff member Nov 17, 2009 #5 When log and transferring 1080/24pa, set the preferences section to remove pulldown.
Nexis Well-known member Nov 20, 2009 #6 Technically you shouldn't have to do anything in FCP 6.0 since its default settings are already set to automatically remove pulldown.
