How do I make $3000?

Of course, there's the old Steve Martin joke--

"Steve...how can I be a millionaire? First...get a million dollars."

I asked my dad and im actually not even allowed to do any stock transactions. We are only allowed to like in a certain month since he works for business news. I guess to prevent insider trading? Sounds stupid to me.

I would find a way to make that work for me...

hmmm.....let me think...... I have right job for you, you said you were 15...... I need someone young for my gang band......3000€ (note € even more than $) for your first mission....... This involves guns and dynamite.......dental insurance included.....

better than this go out and look for people that need help (everyone needs some....)

The question should not be What can I do to make $3000 dollars? It should be How can I create $3000 dollars worth of value for the world to pay me for? It really is quite simple look inward evaluate your skills, willingness, sales ability, talent, and passion and go out and sell it. There are plenty of household jobs out there that people do not want to do.
At 15 I'd start there ask your parents what you can do around the house. At 15 I painted houses to make money. I cut grass. I cleaned peoples garages. Hauled garbage I was WILLING to do whatever was needed to earn. Most 15 year olds don't want to do actual work. Then I thought to myself what SKILLS do I have that can make me money so I Taught Guitar Lessons, Bought candy wholesale and sold Retail at school. Saved a little money and bought music gear real cheap off people who needed money. Turned around and sold on ebay for profit. I guess what I'm saying is you already have everything you need to make $3000 and much more. Put an add on craigslist teaching people FCP or AE.
That has value. Please don't go and beg for a job at apple store and become a minimum wage slave. You have so much more value to offer. Your time is worth more

Bwahahaha! Here's how you make money: go steal it... but legally! Somebody mentioned Lehman Bros and AIG. Richard Fuld, the head of Lehman Bros, made hundreds - yes that's hundreds - of millions of dollars driving the company into the ground... just last year alone he made $43 million while the stockholders holdings kept going down and down (all the while he was saying "we're stronger than ever!"). Guess he'll ever have to give a single penny back? Bwahahaha! The guy who ran Merrill Lynch pocketed $163 million as his company declared the biggest losses in its history. So, as folks advise you to mow lawns and "create value", remember where real value is created in your pocket. Because while you are busy "creating value" for 50 years, as you retire they'll give you a cheap imitation-gold watch and a looted retirement fund, while the Fulds of this world laugh all the way to the bank :)

On a serious note: stop. Don't think about how you need $3000. Think about how you want to accomplish something - your goals. Then find a way. The reason I say: STOP, is because you are on the wrong track. You asked how to get $3000 - that tells me you want to BUY YOUR WAY TO YOUR GOALS. That's the wrong approach. Money should never be your focus - because when you focus on money, you stop thinking about how to solve problems, your thinking stops at how to buy your way out of a problem. And that will only lead to lazy thinking and no accomplishments. Good luck!

Yes thats all very true indeed; however....

Thats assuming the fiat currency in his "pocket" is backed by the wider framework, because in reality it has no intrinsic value ;)

Wow,

I don't know if I would like the fact I would be basically impregnating women by proxy...Not worth 100 dollars.

That is one thing I didn't add to my extensive list of illegal and legal activity.

Good advice, per usual, from the OldCorpse.

the sperm bank is VERY tempting...but idk about the little lorens runing around all over the place..

Everyone who suggested the "its not about the money" thanks, but i dont know i just wasn't built that way, yes i agree its more about what you make as a final project, but i believe in this stage i am trying to get ahead early and stand out of the crowed, hense the big bucks.

Regarding the sperm bank: I couldn't do it because I would never be able to deal with the possibility that I had children out there I didn't know.

Oh, and you couldn't do it anyway. You're not 19. :)

be weary of those 20inch iMac screens. ive seen 3 of them that people have bought and they all are aweful, the viewing angle for some reason is like 5 degrees.

I am in the process of doing everything i can to fix my computer, realizing, "hey, this USED to work, why not now?" So i'll be doing some maintenance for the next few days.
