GH2 How do I get Canon colors with a GH2?

I'm looking to Canon colors STRAIGHT OUT of my GH2 for video. Or at least, as close as possible.

I know there's white balance settings and film settings you can mess around with, but I haven't been able to get the balance right.

Does anybody know what settings I can use to get Canon Colors?

My best guess is to buy a Canon, place the LCD in front of the Gh2 and start recording. But I'm not sure this is very practical.

All cameras are different. Even Canon colours look slightly different from cam to cam, hence why they have adjusted white balance and color shift tint settings.
You'd be best to grab a Canon camera you know you like the look of, and fit the Canon and the GH2 next to each other. Preferably with the same lens.

Then record footage and playback on your edit suite. Trial and error.

You can't rely on the screen LCD though as that too as variance, especially the one on the GH2 which never looks like the final output.

Canon colors or punchy over saturated reds and oranges?
Most here shoot flat and then adjust in post processing. I agree Lammy and go the Trial and error route.

Not easily possible straight out of camera. You can get kind of close by doing a manual white balance, then shifting two steps towards magenta and 2 towards amber... or at least, that's how I've been shooting with it 2+ years.

The GH2 is not a Canon product -- it's a Panasonic product. What it's going to give you is a version of Panasonic colors STRAIGHT OUT of it. Why? Different sensors, different processors, different optimizations. Heck, you can't even get the GH2 to exactly match a Panasonic video camera for the same reasons.

But cheer up. You can't get Kodak portra to look like Kodachrome either, STRAIGHT OUT of the camera.
