How do I find some actors

Hey, I have written several short scripts and I'm back at college with my camera and I wanna make some shorts. What's the best way to find some classmates/students to get involved in my short film projects?

I'm assuming that isn't an option for you.
In which case go to the theater department, put up some flyers for an audition - and see who you can find
Just be clear from the start that its unpaid.

Thank you guys so much. At this school we don't have a film department, but I we have a mass communication with drama/speech. Next semester I'm transferring to Ga State to major in film, maybe I'll have better luck then.

you make it sound so simple. i would use my friends as actors, but i heard that for many reason this may not be such a good idea. One, they might not take things as serious as I would like. two, i can't think of a friend that can act

There's only one way to find out if they can. And people soon learn. People sometimes don't know they can act until they try.
