T2i HOw do I achieve this?

I have a Canon T2i and I just saw this video:
. In the description it says that it was shot with a T2i. Every other video I have seen with the same "fogginess" was shot with a 5D. My question is how do I acheive that foggy video effect with my T2i? Is it in camera or post production?

Thanks Fritz

All post, unless they were using a tilt shift lens, which is an expensive specialty lens that gives a similar effect. But I'd still say with 99% certainty that all the "fogginess" in this was added in post.

Do you know what it would be called or how to do it?

In Magic Bullet Looks its a preset called Warm Spot Focus. It basically gives you a vignette but instead of fading to black it fades into blur and diffusion. You can make the in-focus section as big or small as you want it and put it anywhere on the screen. Without MBL, I'm sure you could approximate the effect in Photoshop or AE.

Yes that was another thing I was wondering about but my original question was on the actual video its self. If you compare the shots of the video with shots from this video:
you see that in the youtube video the image is sharper than in the vimeo video. I was wondering how to achieve that, sorry I was unspecific above.

Magic Bullet Looks can do this. Tilt shift and Warm Spot Focus as well as other things in that program will help you achieve the look you want. Try using cinestyle or faithful picture styles and over expose by a stop or so.

if you don't have looks, but have AE or similar, you can try to get a similar effect with a blur layer and a mask

The blacks are pretty lifted, and the colours de-saturated - it's that 'retro' look. Tiffen make a set of plugins for nle's and one of them is called 'centre-spot' - does a pretty good impression of a tilt shift lens. Other than that, apply a blur to your footage and mask it with a soft edge, should get you a similar look.
