Output from what to what?
Detail what editing application, settings, and to what delivery you wish it outputted.
For example, working in FCP 6/7 with 920x720p DVCProHD footage from a 200/170, exporting to current settings will produce a 1280/720 file.

Your example was exactly taylor made for my situation. I was able to export that 920 x 720 DVC Pro HD footage into a 1280 x 720 file like you said. But what I really wanted to know was, is there a way to record in 720p from the HVX 200 and get the file to be 1280 x 720 without exporting from FINAL CUT. So basically when I transfer the files from the p2 card into Final Cut, it will automatically be 1280 x 720 in the capture scratch.

You can also just drop it into a 1280 sequence and it will adjust for you.
