How do you view your HD footage on an external monitor when you are editing? What card do I need to do this? Thanks!

What NLE are you using? Is it a Mac or a PC?
As I understand it, the Blackmagic Intesity series handles this... but I only know about this by seeing their adverts in magazines and hearing people mention them in forums. Maybe that's worth researching.

Thanks....I see these cards does not support native 24p. Is there a work around?
Check out the Matrox MXO2 Mini, works with PC or Macs . They also have a larger more capable box , the Matrox MXO2 .If you have a Mac you can look at the AJA IO which is much more expensive . The intensity Pro from Blackmagic. All of these have an HDMI out to connect to the monitor.
