C200: How are you importing C200 mp4 footage into fcpx?

Hello, I'm wondering if the behavior I'm experiencing with this camera and fcpx are normal, or if there is something wrong on my end. When importing 4k MP4 clips, fcpx separates the video into 4gb chunks, rather than seeing them as one spanned or continuous clip. I understand the FAT32 limitation, but am not sure if fcpx is supposed to be able to combine split clips on import or not. Is there a plug in I'm missing? Do I have to use the Data Import Utility to import? Does it behave this way in Premiere? Any insight appreciated, thanks!!

Ha, that should do it won't it? Just read it formats SDHC to FAT32 and SDXC to exFAT. All I have on hand is the SDHC cards, so I'll order SDXC and that should do the trick I believe. Thanks for the reply!

Doesn't the camera also come with the same data transfer utility as the C100? You can use it to transfer the clips to your hard drive and merge long takes into single files.

Yes, used the utility, but coming from C300, where everything just worked with the plugin for fcpx, having to go through a separate utility is just an extra step I wasn't expecting. I'm believing switching to SDXC will do the trick as the camera will initialize the media to exFAT. Thanks!
