For sure. Dell.com has had millions of customers over the years, so there's bound to be thousands of unhappy customers, and many many times that number who've had no trouble at all.
 
If you're going to order from Dell, consider taking advantage of the Bing cashback deal; the Dell Store is currently offering 5% cashback.
 
Hmm, maybe it doesn't apply to the GH1, sorry 'bout that. I just bing'd Dell and it said "5% cashback on purchases from the home/office store". Might be an exclusion for cameras or something?

I bought a GH1 last week not from dell.

What is factory-sealed?

Mine came with all the accessories and a US warranty card.

But it didn't have any seal or clear plastic wrap over the box. Should it have had this?
 
That camera has been out since April in Japan and June in the US. With the combination of stock finally being very good, the competition from the 7D, it's own GF1 and Olympus's new EP-2. It shouldn't be surprising at all for the prices to finally drop. The GH1 is probably much cheaper to produce by now and I'm sure Panasonic would love to get some extra sales before Christmas especially knowing that the biggest competition is the 7D. They already had a good price advantage over the 7D and now the difference is much greater.

You should not complain about the GH1 prices in the US.
Here in Germany the price for a new GH1 are still between 1400 abd 1500 Euro which is between 2080 and 2230 US $!
And not price reduction in sight.
So be happy about your prices.
 
One thing to remember is that Dell charges sales tax which would add over $100 in most states. I just ordered mine from Amazon a couple days ago for $1368 but the price has now dropped to $1338.

How was it factory sealed? I am just wondering because I don't think mine came factory sealed.
 
i bought mine from ebay, seller's name CAMERALAND. they're great and has 100% positive feedback. don't forget to use bing cashback (i didn't use it, i didn't know about it before. You have to use 'Buy It Now' otherwise it won't qualified for 8% cashback). The price is $1379 - 8% cashback = about $1268 shipped (no tax, free shipping). They're authorized dealer and shipped fast
 
B&H reduced it to a little under $1,300. It's been sold out at Dell for a while, which is really not surprising at all. I bet it won’t take long for this shipment to be sold out as well.
